LIGHTING DESIGNER
Trudy
Dalgleish
Trudy
graduated from NIDA in technical production. She was lighting director for the
Sydney Entertainment Centre for seven
years where her
lighting designs included everything from circus, ice-show, opera, ballet and
corporate theatre to rock concerts
and sporting events. In 2000,
she was nominated for a "MO" Award for outstanding contribution to musical
theatre. Trudy was
awarded the 2001 Helpman Award for best
theatre lighting design and in 2002 she won an "Entech" Award for best lighting
designer
- live entertainment. In 2003 she won the John Trusott
Design Award and most recently won a Green Room award for technical
excellence
for her lighting design of Eureka the Musical.
Trudy's lighting
designs creditds are numerous, to mention just a few; The Man From Snowy River,
Opera Australia's Sweeney Todd,
Singing
In The Rain in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Shout, What The World Needs
Now, Fame, Australia tour, Malaysia
and South Africa.
Man Of La Mancha, Wizard Of Oz, Annie, Grease, The Sound Of Music, Cabaret, The
Boy From Oz. Also in New York,
Still City at Radio
City Music Hall, The Bootmen, Rhythm Of The Night at Jupiter's Casino and many
others.
In 2006 Trudy lit Je Veux Rever for Bor
Productions and she was invited back the following year to light Oui, J'adore!
at the same venue.
